Background
MiniJerzeys® has been a long-standing partner and supporter of the NIU football program. On an annual basis, we collaborate with the Huskies to elevate senior recognition, enhance sideline apparel, and deliver premium fan gear that reflects the pride of the program.
Beyond gameday support, MiniJerzeys® also partnered with NIU Athletics to help develop the “Huskie Legends” line in collaboration with the official team store, Victor E Threads. The collection features retro uniforms honoring three NIU greats to launch the line: George Bork, Jordan Lynch, and Michael Turner.
Delivery
Each season, MiniJerzeys® produces custom miniature jersey plaques to recognize NIU football seniors. These mounted pieces feature personalized names and numbers, turning a career milestone into a permanent display item for athletes and their families.
In addition, we design and produce specialty sideline apparel including custom t-shirts and hoodies worn by team personnel. Matching fan gear extends the look into the stands, creating a unified, high-energy game environment.
For the Huskie Legends line, MiniJerzeys® worked with NIU Athletics to recreate retro uniform designs celebrating historic players. These jerseys are sold exclusively through the official NIU apparel channel, creating a premium retail extension of the program’s history.
Results
The partnership has become a consistent part of the NIU football calendar. Senior MiniJerzey® plaques serve as meaningful end-of-career awards that feel more premium and personal than traditional trophies.
Sideline apparel elevates the program’s brand presentation while driving incremental fan merchandise sales. The Huskie Legends line connects generations of Huskie fans, honoring program icons while creating new retail energy around heritage designs.
